The territory is squeezed between a railway line and a vacant lot in front of which the D817, a high-traffic road, passes. The old Frouzins road is a dead end and serves the site. This envelope, designed with a specific Toulouse brick for the project, gives depth and a protective distance, necessary and vital to the housing.

The project is developed along two specific axes: to set up a first protective envelope in order to reduce noise pollution; and after that to develop a dialogue between the interior and exterior.
The main building is divided into two parts by a central circulation that allows the building to be crossed lengthwise. A set of staggered separating walls allows for the alternation of the different types of housing (T4, T3, T2). The housing is developed along the line of the facades, and not in depth. Only the service rooms, such as the storeroom, the WC and the bathroom, are set back from the wide-open facades. The project retains the traditional spatial distribution of the flat, with a distinct entrance that acts as an airlock and filter between the common and private parts of the dwelling, while the living rooms open onto a garden on the ground floor and a large balcony on the first floor. Each balcony is enveloped by the protective skin of the building.
